12 mo. 53 pp. Grey pictorial boards stamped in red and black. Boards soiled. Endpapers tanned. Old price of .10 cents inked in green on top right corner of ffep. Boards lightly soiled, edges and corners lightly rubbed. Illustrated with jovial sillhouettes that match the humorous tone of the writing, the writer gives one description of reaching the ripe old age of 35 as follows: "To him, it was like as if she was kissing an old cab horse on a bet for the benefit of the Red Cross."

16mo. 242 pages. Navy blue boards with gilt titles and "$300.00" written on bottom of front cover. The $300 was to be a prize from the publisher for the reader who could correctly guess the authors of lines quoted from 825 poems. Blue entry blank still intact and bound into front of book. Small (1/8") chip out of top of spine and light shelfwear. Short gift inscription on ffep dated 1888. Else fine. A very interesting and unusual little book.
