Collection of short stories by California writers compiled by the Book Committee of the Spinners' Club for the Spinners' Benefit Fund, of which Ina Coolbrith was the first beneficiary. Authors include Gertrude Atherton, Mary Austin, Jack London, Frank Norris and others. Illustrations by Maynard Dixon, Lillie V. O'Ryan and others.
