Some bumping to head and foot of spine. Folding frontispiece of Muir Glacier, photographs, illustrations, and map. The author writes of her book, “My sole object, is to put on paper, for the benefit of others, the impressions made upon me by the voyage, and to explain how this delightful excursion can be enjoyed without the slightest fatigue or discomfort, and at a trifling expense.” Includes a description of her visit to Alaska Company's Gold Mine (commonly called the Treadwell Mine) and descriptions of Sitka and Juneau along with other sites in the Northwest and Alaska.
