8vo. Green boards stamped with gilt lettering. Lovely floral design and oval pictorial onlay on front board. Pink toned floral endpapers and other decorations throughout the book designed by Virginia Keep. Charming poem about a man who loves his wife, and has since childhood. Beautiful pink floral decorations around each page with text. Nineteen illustrations including frontispiece by Howard Chandler Christy. Bottom corners rubbed. Contemporary gift inscription in ink. Else fine.

One loose (but laid in) page. Will Vawter's pastoral illustrations evoke the nostalgia for country life that is so redolent in Riley's poetry.
